Romance Amongst The Roses: The Rebirth of Dennis Brownfield by M C Baker

Book review by HelenThis was a very different romance than the normal romances I read. The writing is great with lots of great dialogue, and there were laughs along the way. It kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen at the end of a very exciting trip to America for the hero, Dennis Brownfield.

Dennis has been widowed for one year now and has decided it is time to start to live again. A trip to Tyler, Texas during the annual Rose Festival to visit his son and daughter-in-law is the first step, never realizing that a simple bump with a luggage trolley will start this change in a big way. When Dolly Parton impersonator Gloria and Dennis meet and make friends instantly, they share a great journey to Dallas. Gloria has Dennis talking and opening up already, and they keep a promise to catch up while in the States.

Dennis is an all -round good Aussie guy, and so many people just fall for him straight away. Of course, most of them are women, and he has some very sensual dates with a couple of lovely ladies.  His life changes when he saves some hostages by simply being at the right place at the wrong time. He gets to meet some very famous people and do a bit more travel than he thought at the start of this trip.

I did enjoy seeing Dennis come back to life and also help a few people realize that life is worth living and showing them how to have a great time. In the end, there is ann HEA with one of his lady friends, and there are smiles all around. Yes, there are a few bedroom antics that are sensually written, a lot of talking, and of course, my trip to some lovely spots in the States the scenery was fabulous. Thank you for a very good story.
