Insta-Week #8: In which there are vines and vineyards and nature stuff

I got tagged by a friend to play the Nature Photography game on Facebook and hence last week was pretty much all about me trying to get nature photographs taken and posted. I'm not very good at it but I did manage to fulfil the requirements of the game. It was fun to play and I got to tag 7 other people to participate, most of whom have joined in and it has been fun to see what they post. :-)

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Grapevines
Day 1: my friend tagged me because she liked my pictures of the vineyards. If it hasn't been mentioned before, I live on a vineyard so I'm surrounded by vines. It's Fall / Autumn here at the moment, so the vines are looking a bit sad, but lovely nonetheless. This is is right of my front door and in the yard to the side of the house.

New on my bookshelf #12

Welcome to another New on my Bookshelf.

Feels like forever since I've done one of these posts!! It's been so long I can't even remember when the last one was. I think it's because I've moved to doing this once a month as opposed to once a week, which is what most people do. I'm toying with the idea of moving this to a Friday and going back to doing this weekly. What do you think? Would you like to see what I stuff into my Kindle each week?

This is also called "Stacking the Shelves" and my girlfriend Bambi does it on her blog weekly too. Be sure to check hers out. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga Reviews.

Review: Enslaved by the Alpha (Shifters of Nunavut #2) by Viola Rivard

I'm finally getting round to pulling together all the reviews I've written for Enslaved by the Alpha. I had originally read this as a serial before it was released as a box set / standalone book, so my reviews are for each part as I read them. This is what you are going to get. I don't have a review for the entire book as a whole, but let's just say I really enjoyed it and I ADORED Erik. Of course, I also could not resist putting in all the covers for each part of the series because ... pretty!

Manview observations #1: What the heck is "the core"?

Welcome to the first Manview Observations aka observations of the romance genre from Manview Steve. I'm very excited about this series because it brings a fresh Manview perspective to a lot of the things we, as female readers of the genre take for granted. Please give Steve a warm welcome as he explores the topic of "The Core" from a man's perspective.

Insta-Week #7: In which I recover from the stomach virus

My apologies for the tardiness last week where there are no Insta-Week. Not because there were no pictures but because I forgot. Yeah, really, it was that simple. I forgot. Then, by the time I remembered, it was too late. So let me catch you up ...

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Shed roof outside Shed roof outside 2
I have an update on the shed progress. We now have doors and the cladding for the ceiling has been done. Doesn't it look gorgeous? Vaulted timber ceilings ... for a shed! Talk about overkill! But is looks amazing.

What Helen Read #1: April 2016

Well, y'all know that Helen has joined the Deanna's World bloggity team and I'm loving having her on board. I'm taking shameless advantage and asking Helen to feature What Helen Read each month too. I thought it would be fun for you to see what someone other than myself read each month. Helen reads quite different books from me, so you'll see some diversity, which I think is fantastic.

Here's what Helen read for the month of April.

Review: The Poison Study Short Story Collection by Maria V Snyder

I recently had the chance to go listen to Maria V Snyder speak at an event about her books and her writing. It reminded me how much I loved the Study series and needed to get back into it. Prior to going to listen to Maria, I went onto her website and read the three free short stories that are available there. These are the reviews for all three of them.
