Beauty Bites #3 - battle of the foaming cleansers

Welcome back to another instalment of Beauty Bites. This week is all about the foaming facial wash / cleanser. Here's a spoiler .... they are all fantastic.

cl

I started off with the Aldi Lacura Essentials Natural Skin Organic Argan Oil Facial Cleansing Mousse and ABSOLUTELY fell in love with it. It was so gentle and cleaned beautifully. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth, best of all, it did not sting my eyes and did a great job removing my eye makeup. I was instantly hooked on it and went back to Aldi to pick up a few bottles of it. I'm down to my last bottle now and needed to find an alternative to it since Aldi did not seem to be bringing it back anytime soon.

I hit up Priceline's website and did a search on foaming cleansers. I found:

They had others as well but some were more expensive than I was willing to pay for for a cleanser and some had some kind of acid in it, salicylic, AHA or BHA. I didn't want anything with acids in them, since I intended to use these on my eyes and I wanted them to be gentle, and not sting my eyes.

I have tried every single one of the above foaming cleansers and they work equally well. Their textures differ a little bit but not by much. When I say they differ, I mean some of them have slightly thicker foam than others, but for the most part, they are much of a muchness and work the same way.

This is what they all do:
  • They are gentle on the skin.
  • They cleanse well.
  • They do not sting my eyes.
  • They remove eye makeup very well (granted I do not wear difficult to remove waterproof mascara!).

I would recomment any one of the above cleaners. Of course, the most economical is the Aldi one, but that's difficult to find. The others are readily available from Priceline or other pharmacies that carry those brands, with prices ranging between $10 and $25.

Here's a little bit about each one:

Unfortunately, there's next to no information available online for this product. If you do find it at your local Aldi, that's great. I do highly recommend this. It's a very nice cleanser and very cost effective.
